I am helping my friend Kevin Nisbet of Tauranga collate his family history. His great grandparents were George Scott Nisbet and Sophia Sanson who were married in Wellington New Zealand in 1880, his grandparents were George Scott Nisbet and Ellen Sparkes - any history previous to that would be so welcome on the nisbet, Sanson and Sparkes lines, I am told the Nisbet family emigrated from Kelso Scotland but I do not know when, do hope to hear from one of the many Nisbet families out there, what a wonderful site.

Dear Carrie it was a lovely surprise to find your name 'Carrie'. My daughter-in-law is Dr. Carrie Nisbet.
I look at all the Nisbet names and usually don't look twice as I have a John Nisbet, Alistair Nisbet, Robert Nisbet and so on.
We have two grand daughters that I need to add ... Charli May Nisbet and Sienna Elizabeth Nisbet.

Hello, I have recently joined the N/N society and within just a very short time have been given more information on my line from Ian Nisbet than I have ever found in the last couple of years. Thank you so much Ian.

I am looking for my half sister Fiona Nisbet who was born in NSW in the 60s I think. Our father is Adrian Home Nisbet born in Brisbane on 12th November 1923. We had or have two aunts Patricia and Dorothy.

If anybody has any information on Fiona or if you read this Fiona, I would dearly love to hear from you.

Cheers Carrie

I joined recently and enjoy checking the the latest additions to the site.
I am descended from Marion Herkis Nisbet, who married my g-g'father, William John Charles Humbley in Sydney, 1873.
Marion's brother James Hume Nisbet also known as Herkis Hume Nisbet, in art catalogues, was an author and artist.
My wonderful family gave me one of his watercolours, 'The Ruined Abbey', for a recent brithday - it is beautiful and I am very fortunate.
