Hello, I have recently joined the N/N society and within just a very short time have been given more information on my line from Ian Nisbet than I have ever found in the last couple of years. Thank you so much Ian.

I am looking for my half sister Fiona Nisbet who was born in NSW in the 60s I think. Our father is Adrian Home Nisbet born in Brisbane on 12th November 1923. We had or have two aunts Patricia and Dorothy.

If anybody has any information on Fiona or if you read this Fiona, I would dearly love to hear from you.

Cheers Carrie

I joined recently and enjoy checking the the latest additions to the site.
I am descended from Marion Herkis Nisbet, who married my g-g'father, William John Charles Humbley in Sydney, 1873.
Marion's brother James Hume Nisbet also known as Herkis Hume Nisbet, in art catalogues, was an author and artist.
My wonderful family gave me one of his watercolours, 'The Ruined Abbey', for a recent brithday - it is beautiful and I am very fortunate.

OMG! I didnt even know there was like a history/origin behind my surname. It's kind of cool knowing where your like ancient ancestors might have come from. Cause i know nothing about my familys history past my grandparents.
So my compliments to the people who put up the website, it rocks :).
